Migraine Surgery Symposium 2026
ASPS and the Migraine Surgery Society are excited to offer this year's symposium: Migraine and Headache Surgery: The Evolution of Diagnosis and Surgical Treatment from 8 - 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026 in Houston. From screen to surgical setting: this symposium moves from virtual delivery to an in-person course featuring a cadaver lab.
This full-day (and beyond) educational course provides a comprehensive overview of understanding migraine and headache disorders, diagnosing headache types that respond to surgery, and surgical treatment options of these migraine and headache disorders. This includes integrating current evidence, patient selection strategies, and detailed anatomical considerations.
Faculty will review diagnostic criteria, identification of migraine trigger sites and contemporary operative approaches used in peripheral nerve–targeted migraine/headache surgery.
The program combines pre-course online instruction, in-person didactic instruction and hands-on cadaveric laboratory experience to reinforce key anatomical landmarks and surgical techniques. Through guided dissection and expert discussion, participants will gain practical insights to support safe implementation and optimization of migraine surgery in clinical practice.
